Poker Tournament Schedule Released for Aussie Millions 2012: Find out how to enter and when to play..

So we’ve seen the schedule for next year’s 2012 Aussie Millions Poker event at the Crown Casino Complex in Melbourne, and it looks to be every bit as busy and every bit as exciting as we’d hoped.

Kicking off on the 12th January and running to a big climax at the end of the month, Crown Casino will be host to some great games of poker, and you can be sure there’ll be plenty of other things going on to occupy fans of the game.

The Crown Casino Complex has no shortage of bars, restaurants, and of course Casino Games to keep you amused, but looking at the schedule, you might not have that much time to invest at the Roulette table.

There’s too much on there to do anything but give you some of our highlights, but you can find the full schedule and plenty of other information (such as how to register yourself...) at the Aussie Millions website: www.aussiemillions.com.

Look out for the Opening Event that kicks things off on the 12th – a great one to set the tone for the whole tournament. On the 15th, Joe Hachem and Shane Warne’s Charity Poker Event takes centre stage, and should see some intense action.

Elsewhere, there’s a Pot Limit Omaha event on the 16th, that runs over two days, and on the 17th the NLH Shootout, which again will run for two days. Other highlights will include the $100,000 challenge on the 22nd January – the same day that the real business of the month gets rolling: the 2012 Aussie Millions Main Event.

Watch out for Chinese Poker on the 23rd, and plenty of other events, too, as all the while in the Main Event the field is reduced towards the final head-to-head, and eventually a new champion. We like the look of the Australian Poker Hall of Fame Classic at the end of the month, too, but we’ll no doubt have one eye on what’s going on at the televised, one-on-one table.

Online poker qualifying satellite events are, of course, available at many online poker rooms so you can qualify at home and play in the real event with the poker stars.

It’s a pretty breathless month of poker at the Crown Casino, but you couldn’t ask for a better setting, and there are plenty of ways to relax on hand. Also (thankfully, given the great bars and clubs at Crown Casino and in Melbourne itself), there aren’t any really early starts on the schedule, so there’s no need to miss a hand!
