Software Leader Playtech Reports Strong Profits In 2010

Playtech, the leading provider of egaming software, has recorded significant growth in gross income of 26% during 2010. The Israeli based company has posted a gross income of 173M Euros for the 12 month period.

In a recent statement the company also reported that total revenues were up by 24%, to a figure of 142M Euros. At the bottom line, a net profit of 92M Euros was announced.

Playtech provide egaming products for partners in Europe and around the world, specifically, online casinos, online poker rooms, online bingo, and more recently, online sports betting. Significant growth was also reported in the Live Casino product, which lets players gamble against real dealers via live video streaming.

In 2009, Playtech launched a joint venture with William Hill, one of the UK's biggest bookmakers. The joint venture contributed a quarter of 2010 overall earnings for Playtech.

Playtech produced a total of 75 new Casino Games in 2010, keeping the company right at the forefront of product development in this sector. New products included well known brands, such as Gladiator, which are used as themes for new Online Pokies.

New product development will continue to be the focus in 2011 and beyond according to their non-executive Chairman, Roger Withers. "Playtech has had an extremely active year on many fronts, but we have never lost sight of our core business objectives, of delivering market-leading products, content and tools to our licensees”.
