Backing A Winner At Perth’s Own Casino Resort

Crown Perth is fresh from an AU$750million makeover, and the new, improved casino resort seems to be hitting the spot with punters from all over Australia, and from overseas, too.

It’s all part of the change in focus by the newly-named Crown Resorts – a subtle change in direction that takes them away from just casinos to providing a more varied sort of tourist destination, one that comes complete with restaurants, bars, theatres and more. In Perth, the new direction seems to be paying off...

According to Crown’s own annual report, the Perth site has seen an increase in profitability, and that coincides with an impressive increase in foot traffic through the doors: more than 20,000 people are enjoying Crown Perth each and every day.

That’s a figure that’s up more than a third on last year, and, according to the Crown report, it because ‘Crown Perth's revitalised offerings - including luxury hotel rooms, high-end restaurants and bars, gaming facilities, convention centre, spa and spectacular resort pool area - add a new dimension to Perth's tourist offering. The extensive capital expenditure program has reinvigorated the resort. The transformation of the resort has been all-encompassing, and developments have included the addition of internationally acclaimed restaurants such as Rockpool Bar & Grill, Bistro Guillaume and Nobu.’

That’s a lot of drinks, shows and meals out at fancy restaurants, and when you consider that the gaming figures are looking pretty healthy, too, it looks like diversification is working for Crown. And if there are great bars and excellent restaurants huddled around Australia’s quality casinos, then gaming fans are bound to be happy, too...
